What we are Reading, Watching and Listening to:
David Blackwell (lead pastor)
We are in the midst of a series on the letters Paul wrote while in prison, starting with Philippians. So I am reading Philippians each day (great for the treadmill), and I have a few commentaries that I am consulting along the way. I am also reading Doctrines: A Simplified Road Map to Biblical Truth by Raul Ries. This is the first book with the theology of Calvary Chapel presented in a systematic approach.
While working I enjoy listening to the various bands at Mars Hill Church and Church of the Apostles. I also listen to a number of stations on Pandora. Some of my current favorites are: David Crowder Band, The Decemberists, Esterlyn, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, John Coltrane, Chris Tomlin, Eric Clapton, White Stripes, Derek Trucks Band, Ambient, Pink Floyd (Ok, The list goes on and on, which is why I love 'QuickMix").
While driving I am going Through the Bible with Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel. This month I am listening to his reading of, and commentary on, Romans.
And every week at church I get to see, hear and sing along with Taking Down Giants.
Books I have read: I have been asked what books I have read. Many are part of the Leadership Training program. On this page I will keep a running list of some other books that I have read since the beginning of my theological and ministry training that are not included in training program. I have also included some of the excellent books I have received from my son Sean as part of our annual book gift exchange for Christmas and Birthday's.

Currently, I am studying the book of Romans and Leviticus.
Shannon and I are a part of the Treasure Valley Christians, and we partake in their Bible study. We are doing an in depth study on the book of Romans currently. In my personal study time I am going through the book of Leviticus.
