Our Identity

The Fountain is a community of dreamers, artists, missionaries, innovators, entrepreneurs, explorers and followers of Jesus Christ. We are a Missional community, committed to equipping people to have an impact in the world as they share the love of Jesus through faith and action in our mission spaces, and by partnering with other missionaries around the world. We are transformed by Jesus to love people. We open our hearts to everybody, including the lost, lonely, discouraged, marginalized, misfit, prodigal, seeker and outcast from every culture.

Our Core Values

Jesus Christ: Our prayer is that people will enter into a relationship with Jesus, and continue to nurture this relationship throughout their lifetime. The result will be a transformed life, and a transformed mission for living. We spend time with Jesus daily in the words of the Bible, the stillness of our prayers and by sharing this love in the world through our attitudes, actions and the sharing of our stories in the communal spaces of our lives.

Transformed Lives: As believers in Jesus Christ we are filled with the Holy Spirit, who draws us into a closer relationship with the Triune God and guides us on our mission of transformation. As Missionaries we are called to reach out with the love of Jesus wherever we are everyday, and to emerge from our comfort zones and reach out into every culture. We are less concerned with living a life of selfish consumerism and are more interested in living a life of radical commitment to Jesus, which is lived out through our love of neighbors, whoever they may be, in every culture.

Transformed Community: We value our time of worship together as a community, and our opportunities for living our faith everyday, wherever God leads. We embrace the ancient creeds and words of worship, while also embracing creativity and innovation reflected in 21st century expressions of worship. We take the study and immersion of our lives in the Bible seriously and support each other as we seek to live out transformed lives, starting with faith in, and a radical commitment to, Jesus Christ. Life is a team adventure, and we believe that together we can help each other deepen our relationships with God and make our lives more reflective of ones filled with the Holy Spirit as we cross cultural boundaries to share this love with everyone we can and invite people to join the adventure.

Missional Culture: We are a Missional community that seeks to equip, encourage, uplift, and support people while developing relationships with people across all cultural borders as ambassador of Jesus' love wherever we go, and with whomever we meet. We are called to break out of any bubble created by religion to reach those outside of the bubble, and create community with everyone we can, whenever we can, by living a life of radical commitment to Jesus Christ within all cultural contexts we intersect with.

Transformed World: Transformation of the world begins with the individual. We seek to be part of transforming our culture, realizing that each act of personal transformation is part of transforming the world. We seek to bring about transformation by working to bring the gospel, love, peace, justice, and equal opportunities for all to the world and help end the sins of racism, inequality, oppression, slavery and injustice.

Creativity and Innovation: We embrace and encourage creativity and innovation in our worship of Jesus, and missional living within our cultural contexts. We value the gifts of the creative arts from God and embrace visual arts, poetry, dance, video, music, blogs and other forms of creative expression that point to God and the sharing of God's love within all cultures in the world.
